Digital Nomad

How long will a residence permit be valid when applying for Digital Nomad?

A residence permit is issued for 3 years, and then you can renew it. After 5 years you will be able to obtain permanent residence, and after 10 years you will be able to obtain citizenship.

Is a Digital Nomad applicant eligible to work?

The main applicant has the right to work, but there are nuances. The card will say “with the right to work”, but by law, no more than 20% of income can come from Spanish companies. If you break this rule, no one will take the card away, but there may be problems when renewing it.

Are Digital Nomad family members eligible to work?

Yes, they do. They can work safely and without restrictions in Spain.

What is the deadline for obtaining a Digital Nomad residence permit?

First, we collect documents together and check them, where the time will depend on how quickly we can provide the originals. And after submission, the review period is usually 21-30 days.

Startup

Who is creating a business project at Startup?

If you already have a business idea, we can work with it and package it for submission. If we don't have an idea, we'll create it from scratch together =)

A residence permit is issued for 3 years, and then you can renew it. After 5 years you will be able to obtain permanent residence, and after 10 years you will be able to obtain citizenship.

If I need to apply for Startup urgently, is it possible to join the group as a co-founder immediately?

We always try to meet our clients and find the best solution, so in case of urgency, we can also find a way out and take your situation into account when forming startup groups.

Other programs

Can I apply for a study visa?

Yes we can. The price is 650 euros. To apply, you must have 8,500 euros in savings, and if you want to get a residence permit more than once, everyone must apply separately and have their own savings. Among the requirements, it is also important that you have at least 32 days left on your Schengen visa. The residence is granted for a year, after which it can be extended once for another year.

What is the difference between Digital Nomad and Startup with No Lucrativa?

No Lucrativa is issued for the first time for only one year without the right to work, while Startup and Digital Nomad are issued for 3 years and with the right to work. With No Lucrativa, you will also need to show your account savings.

Do you apply for matrimonio (residence permit by marriage)?

No, we are not engaged in this method of obtaining a residence permit. But we can tell you how easy it is to make a parekha to serve as a couple.

I'm in Spain illegally, what can you suggest?

Our main programs are Digital Nomad and Startup, with the rest we work on request. If you are in Spain illegally, we can provide a paid settlement consultation, where an expert will analyze your case and suggest an action plan.

What are your guarantees?

How much money does a digital nomad have to show? And for the family?

The calculations come from the term SMI (minimum salary). Nomad should show 200% of SMI for himself.

If I don't have enough income, does it mean that I won't be able to apply for Digital Nomad?

No If the shortage is not more than 10%, then you can back up your income with savings. It is necessary to calculate how much is missing per month and multiply this amount by 36 months — this is how much savings should be.

Why is cryptocurrency income not suitable when you have a confirmed employment contract and pay taxes on crypto deductions?

For Spaniards, payments in cryptocurrency are not considered official, and they do not accept them as a paycheck. You can try to submit, but the approval guarantee will be very low.

Can Digital Nomad income be available in any country?

Yes, the main thing is to have supporting statements and a contract.

Can I spend/withdraw savings after applying for a residence permit?

Yes, the money is needed specifically to show a bank statement. Therefore, some customers also borrow the missing funds and return them immediately after submission.

Is it possible to simply “spin” the money on the card to submit to Digital Nomad?

No, because in any case a formal contract with proof of salary is required.

Does the origin of the money need to be proved or explained during Startup?

No, you just need to show a statement with the balance required for your number of people moving.

Docs

Do I need my original documents with me?

No Applications for all types of Spanish residence permits are submitted electronically. Therefore, you don't have to take the original documents with you to Spain. Only scans of original documents are sufficient.

Do you need no criminal records from other countries of residence?

They are required by law. But we had cases where Turkish, Georgian or other certificates were not requested.

How long is the police clearance certificate valid for?

The police clearance certificate is valid for 3 months. The certificate is usually marked with the date the certificate was ordered, and 3 months are counted from this date.

How much time do I have to collect documents?

Documents for a Jurado translation must be submitted at least 2 weeks before you arrive in Spain. All other documents must be collected a week before arrival.

Does a police clearance certificate require an apostille?

Yes, it is necessary. Therefore, an electronic certificate from Public Services will not work!

My passport expires in a year, will I only be given a residence permit for a year?

No, passport terms do not affect the duration of the residence permit. Just change your passport at the Consulate of your country.

Contracts

What are the contract requirements for Digital Nomad?

The company must have been in existence for at least 1 year and your contract must be at least 3 months old.

As a self-employed person, can I submit several service agreements in the past 3 months?

Yes you can. But this will be a difficult process, as you will need documents from each of your customers (at least an apostilled and translated company registration document).

If I have a contract between my IP and another IP, do I need information about my IP?

No, you will need information about your counterparty.

I have a one-year contract. Will this affect the duration of the residence permit in any way?

It will. A residence permit is issued either for 3 years or for the duration of the current employment contract.

About family

Does the whole family have to come to serve?

Yes. Anyone applying must be in Spain at the time of submission.

My wife plans to come a month after me: does she need to apply on her own or can she join me in a while?

He can also join you after a while on the basis of your residence permit and marriage/parekha certificate (if not married).

Can I apply by myself and, once approved, submit my family?

Yes, it is possible. You just need to check that you have enough income for your family.

My husband and I have adult children with their couples and grandchildren. We all want to move in together, can we all go with the same title?

If I have a residence permit in a European country, what will it give me when applying?

For a Spanish residence permit, an EU residence permit is document No. 9 in the application, which means “proof of the legality of stay in Spain at the time of application” (for example, an open Schengen visa solves the same problem). One of the advantages is that you have a European bank account and it will be convenient to show statements to Spaniards =)

If my passport is stamped in my passport, do I have to request an entry declaration?

No, it's absolutely useless. The moment the police officer sees the stamp, he will turn you around and won't make a declaration =)

Will I be able to travel everywhere in the EU without Schengen with a Spanish residence permit?

If you get a residence permit in Spain, you will no longer need a Schengen permit. You will be able to move freely within the EU during the period of validity of the residence permit.

If you have been denied Schengen more than once, are there any other options to get to Spain?

Yes, it is possible to apply for a D Visa through the Consulate of your place of citizenship.

How can I prove on the pitch that I'm in Spain?

The easiest way is to stamp your passport at the entrance. It is important that it is clearly visible.

Can I come, go and leave Spain again?

Yes, it is possible. But when you fly back, you must also enter the country under the current Schengen regime. A letter of approval is not a reason for entry.

If our Schengen program ends before we get a visa decision, can we legally stay in Spain?

We will send you a supporting document as soon as you submit your application. You have the right to legally reside in Spain while your application is being processed, even if Schengen has expired. But you can't leave the country in this case.

I come to Spain by car or fly from another EU country. So there won't be a Spanish stamp?

That's right. Therefore, in this case, you need a declaration of entry. It can be picked up at the airport. You will learn more about how to get it in our instructions =)

When I get my visa, how many days per year do I have to live in Spain?

When you get a residence permit, you can stay outside Spain 182 days a year (preferably not in a row). However, no one usually looks at moving around the EU. If you suddenly exceed the number of days allowed to be absent, no one will take your card away from you, but there may be problems when renewing your residence permit.

Jurado& insurance

What is Jurado?

This is a sworn translation that only licensed translators can do. Each type of residence permit has a separate list of documents that Jurado must translate. The transfer is paid. The cost is calculated either by page (e.g. translation of a police clearance certificate: 2 pages = +/- 50 euros) or by word. Work contracts for Digital Nomad count according to words, so they can be expensive, but we had cases where we could save up to 500 euros on translations.

How much will insurance cost?

On average, insurance per person will cost from 800 euros. For a family of 3 people, insurance will start from 1,200 euros. But the costs are individual, so the exact figures will be known already at the time of registration.

If I don't get a visa and the insurance is paid, what should I do?

By law, all policies are annual and cannot be canceled prematurely. But by agreement, we can suspend insurance in case of refusal of a residence permit, provided that the policy has not yet been used.

Submission

Do I need to be in the country when applying?

To apply for a residence permit, you must attach a document confirming your legal residence in the country, so you must enter Spain by the time you apply. The submission itself is online, then you can leave the country.

Do you need a Spanish phone number on the application form?

Not necessarily. You can phone with any country code. It doesn't matter at all.

Do documents be submitted online or do you need to go somewhere and sign up?

Documents are submitted online, but you must be in the country at the time of submission.

How do I pay the duty?

Why do applications need to be signed with a pen? Why can't you use your phone?

Because the official is not sure that you want to submit documents — there have been such additional requests. Therefore, with a pen on paper, it is the most reliable.

I applied, left and received an additional request. Do I need to be in Spain when submitting additional documents?

No, you don't need to be in Spain to answer a request.

Afterfiling

How long will it take for my documents to be reviewed after submission?

When applying for Digital Nomad, the review usually takes about a month. When applying for Startup — 2-3 months. People check documents, so no one ever gives exact dates =)

Do I need accommodation in Spain to pick up a residence card?

If the submission will take place in Barcelona or Madrid and enter the address there in the application form, then the card does not require registration. In all other Spanish cities, you need a residence permit to apply for fingerprints, so you need to rent a house or register with someone for a while.

How long should I wait for the card after approval?

After approval, fingerprints must be submitted to the police. To do this, you must first sign up, and there is usually 2-4 weeks left from the date of registration to the receipt of the card.

Do any Spanish bank offer an account? Or are there exceptions for Russian citizens?

If you have a residence permit in Spain, then in any one. Russian citizenship does not affect opening an account.

How do I sign up for prints?
